The festival had many parallel activities including the "Videos under Siege," 25 videos produced during the July War on Lebanon, documenting the daily life of the Lebanese under siege, or of Lebanese filmmakers who were trapped outside Lebanon during this period. Other activities included a performance by artist Rabih Mroue, a dance performance by Yalda Younes, and screening/debate by Bassam Haddad. أيام لمحبي السينما في بيروت

The Cinema Days of Beirut are back after two years and a half, in the shadow of change…

Keeping pace with the changes and the cinematic activities in the Arab world…

This 7th edition of the festival coincides with the 14th anniversary of Beirut DC, whose activities have reached an advanced position, proving its role in the independent Arab cinema field, from workshops to co-producing films, organizing Arab Film Weeks and helping in Arab film promotion…

After its pioneer role in defense of Arab cinema, the festival and Beirut DC are both witnessing a progress in Arab film production and the essence of an Arab cinema that is still stuck in its beginnings, but discovering itself in new lands and possibly witnessing for the first time the support of Arab funds…

This year's festival wasn't an easy task to achieve… but…

This edition attracts new faces from Arab countries, marking the entry of new countries on the cinematic map, and founding through its rich works a new industry…

A phenomenon in a demonstration that heralds in a beautiful cinematic hope, and a glimmer of a light we all yearn for in our current days…
