Arthur Blok left his native Lebanon for adoption in the Netherlands in 1976, one year after the beginning of the Civil War. In 2002 he left the Netherlands and came to Beirut in search of his biological parents. Upon meeting Dimitri Khodr, he enquired if the latter would be willing to make a film about his adoption. "Children of the Cedars” is the result of this unusual request, and follows Arthur's quest in search of his parents.
